Poor, neglected blog...

How time flies! I'd claim I've been too busy, but we all have the same amount of time available and others with similar circumstances manage to blog more frequently. So, I suppose it is more a matter of priorities. Whatever the reasons, here I am again to update our poor, neglected blog. :) Quite a lot has happened in the nine months since last I wrote. (This is wife speaking, in case you hadn't deduced that yet.) Number four is pulling up and coasting now, always eager to see what the big kids are up to and try to be involved. Son is all boy and keeps us smiling with his antics. He knows his colors, some shapes, counts to six, and does all kinds of funny little boy things. Number two is working on mastering the intricacies of the English language and generally enjoys all things domestic. And last, but not least, number one is quite the littleover achiever. She is reading very well, doing first grade level math (addition and subtraction), and often surprising and impressing us with what she knows and can do. Husband enjoys his time at the factory practicing workplace evangelism and seeking to encourage fellow believers. Meanwhile I stay pretty busy homeschooling and trying to manage our little house.:) As far as our family's mission - we have been preparing for some time to go to Africa, more specifically Ethiopia. We are looking for a departure in April of 2015. So far, we have applied for passports for everyone but me (I have to mail mine in seperately) and are working on prayer cards as we speak. Life is never dull, that's for sure! We have been in contact with a missionary couple from India that is working in Debre Zeit (Bishoftu). Lord willing we will spend at least some of our time in Ethiopia there working with them. Please pray for them as well. They have two daughters (6 & 2). Prayer needs for them are good health and ministry opportunities. Prayer needs for us are wisdom as we prepare and discernment to know the Lord's will and timing in all of this. God is faithful and we are trusting Him to continue preparing us and providing the way. Please pray for us and the lost (and found) in Ethiopia!
